Ancillary and Hospital Service Jobs in San Antonio, Texas
Methodist Healthcare System is more than doctors, nurses, technicians and therapists. We rely on people with non-clinical hospital jobs to keep things running smoothly. We need people who prepare food and maintain our facilities. We need people who can keep data straight, process our communications and manage our offices. In many environments, these jobs are routine. At Methodist Healthcare, you’re very important. You’re not just proofing codes: you’re making sure a patient’s record is clearly reflected in documentation. You’re not just preparing a meal; you’re nourishing the healing process. You’re not just cleaning a room; you’re keeping a hospital sanitary. We recognize the professional commitment it takes to support excellent healthcare. We recognize – and appreciate – the people who work in service healthcare jobs.
Our Environment Services team serves patients and their families by providing a healthy environment in which to heal.
Food and Nutrition Services
Our Food and Nutrition team provides meals, special formula services, and clinical nutrition services to hospital inpatients as well as outpatients.
Unit Clerks, sometimes called Unit Secretaries, handle important clerical and administrative tasks for a hospital unit. Applicants are required to have one year of secretarial experience, preferably in a medical setting.
Our Monitor Technicians observe the cardiac rhythm of patients and assess their Electrocardiographic pattern, providing reports to our medical/nursing staff.
Pastoral Care staff commits to “Serving Humanity to Honor God” as they:
- Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients, families and staff.
- Help each one utilize their own faith and support systems as they search for meaning in their illness.
- Help medical teams implement spiritual care into the overall plan of care.
